ZLD Plant P&ID Package
Development of a complete Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) package for a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) facility, optimising wastewater treatment efficiency.
Project Overview
SMRS Infra was commissioned to develop a complete P&ID documentation package for a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant serving an industrial facility subject to stringent zero-discharge environmental compliance requirements. The ZLD system incorporated a multi-effect evaporator (MEE) and crystalliser as the final treatment stages, preceded by upstream biological treatment and membrane filtration. SMRS Infra prepared detailed P&IDs covering all process units — from inlet screening through biological treatment, ultrafiltration, RO, MEE, and crystalliser — including all instrument tags, valve numbering, control loops, and tie-in points to utilities. The package was produced to international P&ID standards and was ready for use in EPC procurement and construction.
